IDIES is created the 24.01.2006 in Sofia as a non governmental organization in the main objective to stimulate the development, the innovations and the active behavior in the areas of education and science in Bulgaria, in order to facilitate its integration in the global world and in European unified space, following the principles of knowledge-based economy, ethics, new technologies, communications and life-long learning.

Am 25 Juni 2011 wurde die festliche Woche anlässlich des 625-gen Jahrestages der Universität „Karl Ruprecht” in Heidelberg eröffnet. In Zusammenhang damit wurde die Exposition „Drei Alphabeten – ein Dialog“ des bulgarischen Malers Spartak Paskalevski  der Aufmerksamkeit der Besucher ausgestellt. Darin sind 17 Werke (50 х 70 cm) in einer gemischten Technik und in Reliefplastik eingeschlossen.
